Welcome to the Roller Coaster Rampage website! Here you will find in-depth instructions on how to use Steam Workshop with Roller Coaster Rampage. If you have questions or concerns, please direct them to our Discussions page in Steam Workshop. Outlined below we will cover the topics of:
Uploading:
Uploading allows you to share your coaster creation with everyone on Steam!
1. Build a Coaster, in either Free Ride or Campaign.
2. On the 'Coaster Complete' screen, select the 'Steam Workshop' option.

3. A Dialogue Box will appear in the center of the screen.

Fill in the data requested. This information can be edited later:
a. Title: This is the name of the coaster as seen by others.
b. Description: This is what others will read that will get them to download and ride your coaster over another.
4. Click on ‘Upload’ and a Confirmation Box alerts you that your Coaster has been uploaded!

5. Click 'OK', and your Coaster is immediately available on Stream Workshop for everyone to see!
Subscribing:
Subscribing allows you to see other coasters that were created by other users!
1. Open your Stream Browser and click on 'Community' across the top.
2. Below that, click on 'Workshop'.

3. This will open the Steam Workshop page. Click on 'Roller Coaster Rampage'.

4. Inside the Items tab, you will see a list of all the entries.

5. To subscribe to an Item, click on the small green square in the lower right hand corner of the Item you are interested in.

6. Once you click on it, you will see a small checkmark to the right of the stars under the image for the Item, and the small green square now turns into a blue checkmark.

7. Congratulations, you are now subscribed to that Item! You can now see it inside Roller Coaster Rampage and ride it!
Downloading:
Downloading loads the subscribed Item into the game and allows you to ride it!
1. Be sure to Subscribe to Items in the Steam Workshop first. If you do not, you will not see anything in the following steps!
2. Enter the Level that your Item was created for. If you are unsure what Level your Item was built for, go to Steam Workshop and read the Description text for the Item. There will be a tag that tells you whether it was built for Free Ride or a specific Level.
3. Once inside the Level, 'Pause' the game.
4. On the 'Pause' screen, select the 'Level Select; option.
5. Depending on the input device you are using, follow the steps below for selecting a Workshop Item:
Keyboard & Mouse Selection:
a. Campaign only: 'Right Click' on the Level you want to play your Workshop Item in.

b. For Campaign, all your Subscribed Items for that Level will appear on the right side of the screen. For Free Ride, they will appear in the center of the screen.

Note: If your list is empty, check the following:
i. Make sure you have subscribed to a Item in Steam Workshop.
ii. Ensure you are in the appropriate Level by checking the Description text of your Subscribed Item.
c. Using the arrows, select the Workshop Item that you want to play.
d. Roaller Coaster Rampage automatically downloads, loads, and starts your Workshop Item; enjoy the ride!
Controller Selection:
a. Campaign only: Highlight the Level you want to play your Workshop Item in.
b. Campaign only: Press the 'X' Button to view your appropriate Workshop Items.

c. For Campaign, all your subscribed Items for that Level will appear on the right side of the screen. For Free Ride, they will appear in the center of the screen.

Note: If your list is empty, check the following:
i. Make sure you have subscribed to an Item in Steam Workshop.
ii. Ensure you are in the appropriate Level by checking the Description text of your Subscribed Item.
d. Using the arrows, select the Workshop Item that you want to play.
e. Roller Coaster Rampage automatically downloads, loads, and starts your Workshop Item; enjoy the ride!
Editing:
Editing allows you to change the Title, Description, and the Image for your Items!
Your Workshop Files:
To edit your Items, you need to get into Your Workshop Files.
1. Go to the Steam Workshop page.
2. Scroll down and click on 'Your Workshop Files' on the right hand side.

Title & Description:
You can change the Title and Description at any time!
1. inside 'Your Workshop Files', click on the item you want to edit.

2. On the Right hand side, click on 'Edit title & description'.

3. Change the Title and Description, then press 'Save'.

4. Your changes will be saved!
Images & Videos:
You can change or add images and videos to your items!
1. Inside 'Your Workshop Files', click on the item you want to edit.

2. On the right hand side, click on 'add/edit images & Videos'.

3. Adding Images:
a. Click on the white square inside the left text box.

b. A Browser window will open; browse your computer to find the image you want.

c. Click on 'Open'. The brwoser window will close, and the file path to your image will be inserted into the text box.
d. Click 'Upload'.

e. Your image is now connected to that Item in Steam Workshop!
4. For Videos, simply input the URL for a YouTube video into the right text box, then click 'attach'!
